Trimble’s Drill of the Week- Anaheim 2 v 1
4 Lines at Bluelines- Forwards diagonal opposite lines with pucks and defenseman diagonal opposite without pucks.
On Whistle Forward with puck skates across the blueline and sends a long pass to the defenseman facing him, as the D steps out and collects the puck with his feet moving. Forward then swings and opens up as a target for the D who sends him and outlet pass as he begins to head up ice.
Forward then catches the pass and pushes it up to the forward from the opposite line that he is now facing. That forward collects the pass steps out (other forward changes direction) and they begin to attack the D who passed to them 2 v1.
Next whistle the forward from opposite line starts a new sequence on the other blueline.
