Trimble’s Drill of the Week- Angle 1 v1
Simple Drill for any ages- Focus on Skating forwards (not backwards) and taking good angles to defend. Proper stick positioning is important.
- Lines at each red line but facing in opposite directions
- On the whistle first two players in each line go
- First Player has the puck and needs to cross the blueline- Second player is defending (no puck) and crosses inside the blueline at a good angle- matching the puck carriers speed
- Play the 1 v1 out to completion
