Trimble’s Drill of the Week – Stick Tag
Simple Drill for Stations- Partner Skills Work- Or a Break in your Practice
- Partner up in 2’s with someone of similar ability
- Handles of the sticks touching, blades at opposite ends, sticks on the ice
- Start off the Drill facing one another with your skates facing the sticks
- Rules- 1- Cant step over the stick. 2- Must go around the sticks but stay within an arms length of the sticks. 3- Once you are tagged, you immediately have to try to tag the other person
- Keep things competitive and fun
- Players will work on Edge Work, Change of direction skills, stops/starts, tight turns and mowhawks and much much more
