TJHP EP026 – This week’s episode of The Junior Hockey Podcast Hoff and Gresko talk with Hockey Family Advisor for JDM Consulting, David Maciuk. We chat about advising in Junior Hockey and ask Dave some questions about why it is needed, and what exactly advisors do. This is a topic that we have brought up before on the podcast and Hoff and Gresko never really understood the need of an advisor at the Junior Hockey level. We try to break it down and ask Dave the questions that we have always had. We talk about his day to day tasks and his relationships with his clients and the type of things he does for them. Dave played in the USHL during the 70s when it was minor pro hockey instead of Juniors, so we asked him briefly about that and what it was like playing in the USHL back then. We had an interesting conversation about advising and the current Junior Hockey Landscape in the United States and Canada.
