This 2010 USHL game between the Des Moines Buccaneers and the Dubuque Fighting Saints had a total of 200 penalty minutes from 42 penalties, with 7 players tossed out.
This is a throwback for the ages. Crazy video with some of the best junior hockey players in 2010 throwing hands and getting the crowd going crazy. Let’s be honest here, how do you not have a line brawl every night in this small, absolutely packed barn. Rinks that are small but still have the seating to accommodate thousands of fans are a literal electric factory.
A notable mention for this video is that this was the year that Johnny “Hockey” Gaudreau was playing in the UShow for the Saints. He absolutely lit the lamp this year with 72 points in 60 games which ultimately helped him land at Boston College.
Anyways, back on track… This is one of those videos that every young junior hockey player finds while searching for “junior hockey videos” during the summer months before there first season of mucking it up with the boys. I know for sure I watched this type of video before my first year in the CHA (yeah that’s Jr C hockey, but I’m still a stud). It gets you ready for the season and sometimes a little scared, especially when you are a young rookie, but who cares it’s awesome.
Anyways, that’s this weeks Throwback Thursday, just a great line brawl and goalie fight in the USHL. Love to see it.
