2020 NHL Draft Top Prospects

Just like any year around the draft the hockey world is buzzing about the potential top 10 choices. This year is no different from the likes of Alexis Lafreniere (QMJHL) to Jamie Drysdale (OHL). I would like to like to take the time to highlight one of this year’s top prospects. The 2002 Lefty Forward from Germany. Tim Stuetzle.

Tim Stuetzle, LW, Mannheim (GER)

What sticks out to me is that this ’02’ is being compared to the likes of Pat Kane. Truthfully, I, understand why. Check out the Germans elite prospect profile here. Not a bad resume if you ask me. I would also encourage you to watch this highlight video of him wheeling and dealing all over the ice (literally).

The kid definitely has the attention of the NHL and it’s no wonder why. It will be interesting to see where he ends up come October 6th, 2020.

Tim Stuetzle is the top-ranked prospect when it comes to European skaters and is expected to go second or third in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Teams looking for an offensive spark and a player with a year of professional experience will find Stuetzle very promising.

Stuetzle spent this season playing in Germany’s top professional league for Adler Mannheim. Although the season ended early and playoffs were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Stuetzle still found success during his first professional season. He played 41 games for the club, contributing 34 points, 27 of which were assists. His performance earned Stuetzle Rookie of the Year honors for the League.

Let us know what you think about the upcoming NHL Draft or what you think of Tim Stuetzle.
