So far this year, next to a full-time job, coaching a youth hockey team, recording podcasts, and trying to write articles, I sometimes don’t have enough time to scroll Twitter (I refuse to call it X). When I do, I typically make sure I check out a few different sources or accounts to make sure that I’m staying up to date and still learning (outside of The Hockey Focus and Trimbles accounts). I figured if I’m enjoying them, why not share them with others?

Marner and Matthews working off the same side, leading to a short 1 Timer short side
Strong Side D Pressures Marner into the Corner, Net Front D gets boxed out by Nylander and Forwards duplicate the seam to Tavares… https://t.co/f1IKByHYnd pic.twitter.com/DCkouI3Myg
I’ve recently started following Andrew Brewer on Twitter as I enjoy his use of the FastModel Sports diagramming program he’s been using for different sequences that have happened so far this season. The software is used by 28 of 30 NBA teams and 7 NHL teams. I encourage coaches, especially at the older levels to reach out to Andrew and see if this is something they can use for their teams!
As far as 1st NHL goals go, this was pretty sick.

Nice play by Fantilli to tie up the stick, give himself just enough room for the toe drag and snipe. pic.twitter.com/iqi1Rkf5FY
Mike is another account that I’ve recently found that has been great with video and analytics with the NHL Network using SportLogiq showing what’s going on or why things are being done.

Awesome display of puck movement and multiple great 1st touches on the puck! pic.twitter.com/q2xuU3GqQ7
Kyle is another coach who is using Twitter as a personal video coach for the masses and giving great quality information and feedback on different situations within the game.
🏒 IHS Practice of the week: Passing & Playmaking
— IceHockeySystems.com (@icehockeydrills) October 24, 2023
➡️ The practice includes 6 drills designed to stimulate players' awareness, decision-making & play-making skills.

IceHockeySystems.com has been one of my favorite websites that I use daily for creating practice plans for my team. Their free drill drawer program on their website is a fantastic tool that more coaches need to take advantage of. Since I have the full account, I’m able to save these drills and create practice plans, search already archived drills and small area games, watch videos on skill development, and new off-ice exercises as well as pre-made practice plans and videos from the NHL that translate! Such a great resource of information that is always being updated and new content released using fantastic coaches such as Alyssa Gagliardi, Wes Wolfe, TJ Manatersky, and many more!!
COACHES: This is a great forecheck clip showing the most important trait F2 needs to be successful:

ANTICIPATION.
F2's job is to read the pressure of F1. JT Miller sniffs out where the first pass is going off F1's pressure and jumps to create the turnover. Great job!! pic.twitter.com/Uhgd4d3CwJ
I’ve been following Topher for years and he’s putting out great quality content daily. Now that he’s no longer with the University of Michigan and is back to running the ThinkTank full-time, he’s pumping out even more content and continuing to provide great podcast episodes with Jeff Lovecchio.
