According to multiple sources, Fargo is working on a deal to hire longtime North American Hockey League coach Scott Langer as new Head Coach.
Langer has been with the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL for the past five seasons, leading them to the Robertson Cup as league champions in 2019. He was named the league’s coach and general manager of the year in June.
Prior to Aberdeen, Langer spent nine years in Topeka (NAHL) and three years in Santa Fe (NAHL).
The Force’s head coaching position has been open since Grand Forks native Pierre-Paul Lamoureux stepped down earlier this month after leading Fargo to the United States Hockey League’s Clark Cup Final.
Recently, other USHL teams have also hired NAHL coaches. The NAHL is not only advancing it’s players, but it’s coaches as well.
