So, you didn’t win your fantasy hockey pool last year – again – and your draft night is right around the corner.
You may or may not be on your last excuse with the Mrs.
Where do you start?
The most obvious place to start is the team that won the championship vs wherever you landed. If you dwelled in the basement than it’s probably pretty obvious, but if you landed in the middle or higher then it might be less obvious.
Was it because you took Crosby – who had a great year – before Stamkos who just so happen to have a career year at age 32?
Pavelski who turned back the clock, or his teammate Hintz who took a step back?
Whatever the reason, it means you need to try harder.
It means doing your best copy and paste the day of the draft isn’t going to cut it.
80% luck and 20% “pfft- i got this” just ain’t gonna win you chip after chip.
You’ll get lucky, and you’ll have no idea when that will be.
But who the hell has the time, right?
