For the past two weeks, I’ve been providing lists on the top prospects from each USHL team who are eligible for the 2020 NHL Draft. This week is a bit different as the Fighting Saints only have one rostered player who is eligible for the draft.
Stephen Halliday – Left Wing
Stephen is best known for his passing abilities and physical attributes. Standing at 6’3″, 220 lbs, he is often able to over-match players and utilize his strength to his advantage. This season with the Saints, Halliday recorded 13 goals and 25 assists which was good enough for sixth on the team. For the 2020 NHL Draft, analysts predict Stephen to be a fourth-round pick, the majority say to the LA Kings.
The Saints roster is loaded with talent, there just aren’t many players entering the 2020 NHL Draft. Other top players on the team include Dylan and Ty Jackson, Riese Gaber, Mark Cheremeta, and Matthew Kopperud.
