USHL Partnership With PRIVIT
To kick things off this week, the USHL announced a new partnership with PRIVIT. PRIVIT is a medical information system that will collect, manage, and analyze player information to improve the safety of all USHL players.
USHL Director of Hockey Operations, Evan Rand, had this to say about the recent partnership, “We’re excited to partner with PRIVIT and simplify, standardize, collect, and store our player’s health and safety-related information. Their platform will also put pertinent medical information in the hands of our Athletic Trainers at all times while ensuring the privacy and security of the data.”
Lincoln Stars Hire New General Manager
The Lincoln Stars recently named Melissa Feczko as their new Assistant General Manager. Melissa has over 13 years of hockey experience and has worked with the Muskegon Lumberjacks and Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL. “I am grateful to Ryan Schiff and GM/Head Coach Cody Chupp for giving me this opportunity to work within the Lincoln Stars organization,” said Feczko of her new opportunity.
Black Hawks Announce Summer Camp
The Waterloo Black Hawks have announced three dates in 2020 for players to showcase their skills and make their roster. Players born in 2005, 06, and 07 will be eligible to register for the three-day camp.
USHL Players of The Week
Last week, forward Nokolai Mayorov, defenseman Daniel Hilsendager, and goaltender Gabriel Carriere were named players of the week.
Nikolai Mayorov
In two games for Mayorov, he scored two goals and had four assists for a +/- of 4. This is the first time he’s won the award in his USHL rookie career. He leads the RoughRiders with 35 points, 22 goals and 13 assists, which is fourth-best in the entire USHL.
Daniel Hilsendager
For Hilsendager, he played three games, scored one goal, and recorded two assists for a +/- of 9! Committed to play at the University of Western Michigan, Hilsendager now has 13 points, four goals, and nine assists, and now has USHL Player of The Week to add to his repertoire.
Gabriel Carriere
Carriere was solid in net last week winning both games. He flashed his glove skills to pave the way to a 1.45 GAA and .944 SV%. He’s committed to play at the University of Vermont and is a huge reason the Black Hawks are sitting atop the Western Conference.
