Trimble’s Drill of the Week- 2 v2 Continous
2 v2 Continous
- Forwards at the Hash Marks/ Goalies in the nets/ Extra Defenseman at the boards
- 1 whistle to start the drill then the drill will continue without whistles.
- Forwards start the 2 v2 versus defenseman out of one end. Play continues 2v 2 in the zone.
- Once play crossed the red line- new set of Ds will come out and be ready to take the next rush going to the opposite end of the ice. 2 v2 is now happening in the zone below the top of the circles.
- Next 2 v2 rush is initiated once a goal is scored or the defenseman taking the rush pass to the opposite group of forwards waiting on the hash marks.
- Encourage continue play- collecting rebounds, staying on pucks, playing things out.
- Great competitive drill. Make it accountable!
