Trimble’s Drill of the Week- Chaos Drill
Recently on Twitter I saw of similar video of the Toronto Maple Leafs executing this (or a similar variation) drill during a practice. Criticism came from a member of the media about the drill.
At all levels, from Learn to Play to Pro, this drill (or a similar variation) can be an effective tool in improving your players ability to:
- Play with their head up
- Increase confidence with the puck
- Puck and Stickhandling skills
- Conditioning
- Ability to make plays in a small space
Simply divide your group or team up into two groups- Whistle actives a certain group as the other portion either stands, knees or provides active resistance within a defined space. This is a fun drill that is easy to set up, applicable to all ages, and can be done very quickly between others drills. ENJOY
